Synopsis The show has music by David Yazbeck and a book by Jeffrey Lane. Based on the film of the same name, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels tells the story of two very different con men, the debonair Laurence Jameson and the vulgar Freddy Benson. The chalk and cheese con men know they can’t both work the same resort, so they decide to make a bet. The first to make £50,000 from one of the many wealthy ladies of the French Riviera town of Beaumont Sur Mare, will get to stay, the loser has to leave town. All they have to decide is who is the target… Enter the American Soap Queen herself, Christine Colegate. As they try their different approaches to get the dough, they find that Christine isn’t as easy as they first thought and that this con is going to be harder, more painful but the most fun they’ve ever had! Nominated for 11 Tony awards this show has it all – from glitzy dance numbers to laugh out loud comedy, and an eclectic score which drives the narrative perfectly. We are looking to cast roughly 25 strong performers to join the production. In casting Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, we are particularly keen to find strong actors/character actors to take on the principal roles and bring these colourful characters to life. To find out ALL the details, please do come along to the familiarisation and meet the team and email gareth.dirtyrotten@gmail.com for an audition pack.

We found you for the first time last year. Fiddler on the roof. Oh my word, what a fantastic show! Still smile about that evening to this day 😀.
Really enjoyed 'Merrily' - knew nothing about it - a very interesting show and I imagine not an easy one to learn - tricky songs. Clever idea going back in time and I loved 'Our Time'. Well done all.
Gloriously camp, and provocative, Mel Brooks’ smash-hit musical, ‘The Producers’, was everything it promised to be.On a typically chilly night in Battle the musical directed by (Bob Murray) brought us all the glitz, glamour, and sleaze of New York’s Broadway to Battle.
BLOG had pulled the stops out with their production of The Drowsy Chaperone, which is a musical within a musical. The story is related by “Man in Chair” who loves musical theatre and particularly his record of the fictional 1928 production of Drowsy. As he plays it the show comes alive in his living room whilst he wryly comments on the music, the story and the actors.
Battle’s ‘Fiddler On The Roof’ an evening of great music between the lines of the poignant script this production in the roun d truly included the audience in the action. With an amazing twinkle Tevye spoke to us creating an atmosphere of melancholy but with humour too. A n e xtremely well cast of strong characters, with beautiful harmony and wonderful costumes. Chorus movement so well timed kept the continuity flowing. Exc ellent throughout.
